EFFECTIVE HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT AS A KEY TO THE ACCOMPLISHMENT OF ORGANIZATION GOALS

ABSTRACT

Human resources are an organization’s most valuable asset. Every organisation is human-oriented, which is essential for the organization’s survival. Organisations have a mission to exist and can achieve this objective through the efforts of the “People” within the organisation. Meanwhile, the organization’s success is determined by how well its people resources are managed.

People are energetic and have emotions. As a result, management should manage and encourage them in order to ensure their commitment and dedication to the organisation. Based on this, the study seeks to determine the relationship between strong human resource management practices and organisational success.

The study was carried out at Owerri, using Nigerian bottling firm units as a case study. Questionnaires were provided to the company’s workforce to assist the researchers with their analysis.

The researchers used the data to infer that people are the lifeblood of an organisation, and success is determined by the quality of its personnel.

Chapter one

INTRODUCTION

1.1 Background of the Study

Human resource management is focused with people-centered management. Organisations do not exist in a vacuum; so, they require people to acquire their services, improve their abilities, motivate them to high levels of performance, and ensure that the key continues to maintain their commitment to the organisation.

This is a well-known fact in business, education, health, and social organisations: seeking, attracting, and retaining good people in the right positions at the right time is critical to the success of any organisation, profit or non-profit, public or private.

Organisations that can attract, develop, motivate, and retain great employees will be effective and efficient. Ineffective and inefficient organisations risk stagnation or decline.
