ABSTRACT
This study investigates and evaluates the role of cooperative thrift and credit societies in urban development. The study focused on the orphanage mother multipurpose cooperative society. The research examines the literature of linked studies and acknowledges data acquired through designed questionnaire methods among individuals of the subject region. Using simple randomisation techniques. The data obtained during the study was presented using perceptible equations and tabular illustrations. The study’s findings revealed that cooperative organisations’ actions benefit both members of the study region and the general public greatly. As a result, cooperatives contribute to the distribution of loans among its members.
