THE BENEFITS AND DISADVANTAGES OF E-learning AS A REPLACEMENT FOR REAL SCIENCE CLASSROOMS: A case STUDY OF SOME SELECTED private SCHOOLS IN lagos
This research looked at the Pros and Cons of E-learning as a Viable Replacement for Real Science Classroom Settings: A Case Study. An examination of a few selected private schools in Lagos. The study's overall population is 200 staff members from chosen private schools in Lagos state.
The researcher collected data using questionnaires as the instrument. This study used a descriptive survey research approach. The survey included 133 respondents who were HODs, senior professors, junior lecturers, and administrative personnel. The acquired data was organized into tables and evaluated using simple percentages and frequencies.

Electronic educational technology, sometimes known as e-learning, has grown in popularity over the previous decade. Computer-based learning methods help both students and lecturers by allowing for greater flexibility in terms of location, time, and speed. There are numerous techniques to measuring students' learning progress in e-learning settings.
Practical comparisons of various learning systems are still uncommon. To fill this void, the purpose of this study is to give a direct comparison of e-learning and classroom teaching in practice in order to determine whether an e-learning platform may potentially replace existing learning situations.
This study weighed the benefits and drawbacks of e-learning versus traditional science classroom settings. We used a single indicator to assess if instructional medium had an effect on student performance. The purpose of this study was to compare online versus face-to-face instruction on three levels: pure modality, gender, and class rank. We explored whether one teaching mode was considerably more effective than the other using these comparisons.
Despite the study's limitations, this evaluation was carried out to give us with more measures to identify whether pupils performed better in one environment than another (Mozes-Carmel and Gold, 2009). Future quantitative, qualitative, and mixed method designs can build on the methods, procedures, and operationalization tools utilized in this study to further analyze this topic. Furthermore, the findings of this study will serve as a foundation for future meta-analytical studies.

H0: There is no influence of the benefits and downsides of E-learning and actual Science Classroom Settings in Lagos private schools.
H1: There is an impact of the advantages and cons of E-learning and actual Science Classroom Settings in Lagos private schools.
H02: E-learning has no value for students in Lagos' private institutions.
H2: E-learning benefits students in private schools in Lagos.

The study will be extremely beneficial to both pupils and the Ministry of Education.
