INVENTORY CONTROL AND ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE
ABSTRACT
This study aims to investigate the relationship between inventory control and organisational performance in PZ, llupeju, Lagos. The survey research design was used in this study.
The researcher used a structural questionnaire as the research instrument to collect pertinent data from 120 respondents on the subject of the study, of which 105 questionnaires were collected and analysed using simple percentages.
The researcher employed the basic Random Technique as a sampling procedure, and the chi-square was used to test the hypothesis made in this study.
The findings of this study demonstrate that every profit-driven organisation should have a sound, effective, and well-coordinated inventory management system because the business environment is always changing, highly competitive, and has a significant impact on the organization’s performance.
This survey also discovered that many organisations fail to recognise the need of proper inventory management. As a result, the researcher has recommended that PZ seriously investigate inventory control management in order to meet the organisational goals.
