DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A VIRTUAL E-LEARNING SYSTEM

INTRODUCTION

Virtual e-learning is a technology that enables students to receive access and knowledge from any university of their choice. It can include: Enhance face-to-face instruction (on campus, in class usage of computers and the World Wide Web (WWW), enhanced remote education (on or off campus).

Individuals and groups learn using print and computer-based materials. Instruction is totally online (individual and group learning). Because of this combination of virtual classroom and text-based e-learning, every student is becoming an e-learner for some aspect of their studies, whether through learning materials, e-mail for contacting teachers/tutors, or any of their numerous other e-learning applications.

Online learning refers to learning and other associated resources that are accessible via a computer, including computer-based training, computer-based education, and technology.

The e-learning system delivers information and data via text messages. Students or e-learners will get lectures on their computers, much like they would in a classroom. This has let e-learners obtain degrees from institutions they have never seen.

1.1 Background of the Study

The Internet, as a global network of computers located all over the world that allows knowledge to be exchanged and distributed by millions of people, has performed admirably in information technology and education.

Virtual classrooms and text-based e-learning are not an exception. Students frequently face difficulties in obtaining basic knowledge from their preferred higher education institution, not because they lack the resources to do so, but because the risk of travelling from the college to wherever the person may be poses a difficulty.

Satellite computers were developed to lessen these hazards, but they did not solve the difficulty of travelling from one site to another in search of knowledge.

In this regard, Federal Polytechnic Nekede competes with a number of institutions, which sometimes reduces the number of students enrollment in the school due to the above-mentioned problems.

The system “virtual classroom and text-based e-learning was designed with this Federal Polytechnic Nekede will have thousands of students in which she does not provide any accommodation or structure for and still gain much ground economically, and students all over the world suffer less in having

This is built so that everyone who wishes to participate must first register. Students have free registration forms, however lecturers must supply their staff numbers

which correspond to their surnames, before they may access the registration form. Students are given one month after enrollment to pay their school fees in order to have their names removed from the database.

This will help increase student enrollment at the university. The system contains highly security-conscious software that resides in the ever-helping except those supposed. I have seen and observed. We have seen and witnessed this benefit to students on an unprecedented magnitude.

Indeed, this sounds relevant to my academic pursuits in FPN. Perhaps this requires implementation.

1.2 Statement of the Problem

Because of the difficulties students face and encounter, it has never been easy for them to obtain fundamental and necessary education in any school they choose, regardless of whether the resources are there.

This causes a lot of complications, and sometimes they will choose not to attend school at all. It is difficult for a student in America or any other country to come to FPNO every day for lectures

and it is also impossible for FPN staff to travel to America or any other place where students may be located on a daily basis to offer lectures.

When the number of students increases, student admissions may be reduced in order to offer appropriate frameworks for them to attend lectures. The above perspectives are what inspired the research endeavour to discover solutions to them.

1.3 The purpose of the study

The study’s goal is to provide a solution for students who, due to their proximity to the institute, are unable to obtain the necessary information. Again, to make it easier for students to obtain any of the FPNO credentials without having to attend the institute or with less effort.

Despite the fact that other institutes offering the same courses as FPNO exist, this will significantly reduce her rivalry with them. The problem structure is solved since the system is virtual, which means there will be no physical touch between students, instructors, and the FPNO.

OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY

As they say, “scientia st potential,” which means “knowledge is power.” The goal of this research is to supply students with all of the knowledge they need about any subject taught at this wonderful institute, FPNO.

Again, to ensure that students follow the current trend in academic settings around the world. This will help FPNO become more aware of technological trends and develop a demand for additional online services and computerization in the institute.
