An advertisement is a notice or piece of information that informs people about a product, job, or service. It might come in the shape of sign post, billboards, postals, handbills etc.
If an error is discovered, certain types of advertising are not modifiable. Reprinting is done to effect change on error found in the print media.
This has resulted in the research and design of the project “Electronic Billboard Design and Installation” in order to close the gap of reprinting due to error.

The Electronic Billboard is a type of digital communication that uses Dot Matrix to display information.
STATEMENT OF THE problem.
Since the beginning of time, man has been on a perpetual drive to better the quality of his life and existence; this never-ending quest has been propelled by the simple necessity for man to confront the difficulty posed by his demanding environment.
Some of the difficulties related with manual billboards are as follows:
Editing information on a manual billboard is extremely difficult once it has been designed and printed.
Work is reprinted to correct inaccuracies that have been discovered.
It contains no provision for updating in the event that new information is required.
It incurs additional costs when reprinting a new document to correct errors.
It is not visible at night because to a lack of lights.
OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY
The primary goal of this project is to create and implement an electronic billboard that will:
Editing previously created and displayed content.
Work may be deleted or reprinted to correct errors discovered.
Allowing for updates if new information becomes available.
Cost savings as a result of reprinting a document for an update or error correction.
Information shown on the billboard is visible both during the day and at night.
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

SCOPE OF THE STUDY
The goal of the research is to find a better way to design and deploy an electronic billboard that will completely decrease or remove the issues associated with manual billboards.
The study is reduced down to information transmission through the usage of electronic billboard which is efficient to reach the desired population.
LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY
A number of factors worked against this project, which poses some difficulties:
The cost of obtaining information from relevant materials, journals, the internet, and administrative respondents is exorbitant.
The stress of combining study and research work has not being easy on my own part.
Respondent's unwillingness to release basic and necessary data.
DEFINITION OF TERMS
For a clear comprehension of the terminology, the following terms are hereby operationally defined.
LED (Light Emitting Diode) – A two-lead semiconductor light source that emits light when an electric current flows through it.
A dot matrix is a two-dimensional patterned array that is used to represent characters, symbols, and images.
Billboards – A billboard is a big outdoor board where ads or announcements are displayed.
A microcontroller is a system on a chip that has one or more CPUs (processors), memory, and programmable input/output peripherals.
Arduino is an open-source electrical platform with simple hardware and software.
Advertisement – A notification or announcement in a public media promoting a product, service, or event or publicizing a job vacancy.
C is a general-purpose, imperative computer programming language that supports structured programming.
Computer – A computer is a device that accepts, stores, and processes data to produce information under the control of stored programmes.
Software is defined as the component of a computer system that consists of data or instructions used to control the operation of a computer.
Electronics is the science of electrically controlling electrical energy, in which electrons play a fundamental role.
Vacuum tubes, transistors, diodes, and integrated circuits are examples of electrical components.
Hardware – Also known as system peripherals, these are the physical components that make up a computer system.
Programming is the process of developing executable computer programmes from an original articulation of a computing problem.
An integrated circuit (IC), often known as a chip or microchip, is a semiconductor wafer on which thousands or millions of tiny resistors, capacitors, and transistors are manufactured.
An IC can function as an amplifier, oscillator, timer, counter, computer memory, or microprocessor. Depending on its intended application, an IC is classified as linear (analogue) or digital.
