DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF AUTOMATED ESTATE AGENT AND PROPERTY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

INTRODUCTION

This project will assist my case study (New Owerri Estate, Imo State) by adding an electronic method of determining whether or not the estate’s properties are in excellent working order.

1.2 Background of the Study

In today’s extremely competitive real estate market, intangibles motivate clients to buy more goods, provide favourable feedback, and return to the home in the future. The most effective of these intangibles is service.

No amount of hiring, training, or incentives will ensure high-quality service if agencies do not have adequate mechanisms in place to manage and distribute information.

Furthermore, as buildings add more services and facilities, the necessity to integrate these operations grows in importance and complexity.

Technology has increased the standard, and this study is at the forefront of this transition, providing guest-centric solutions that assist estate agencies in tapping into new revenue streams and better serving their clients by inventing new ways of managing and maintaining properties.

This study provides a property management system developed to assist estate agency activities and fulfil the special needs of a certain segment of the hospitality industry.

1.3 Statement of the Problem

In the past, estate agencies performed manual operating duties such as physical and verbal acquaintances and interactive communication.

Property management procedures are performed manually, and this has had no good impact on the processes involved from the agency-client perspective. However, the time required to control property management cabinets is extremely demanding and tough in terms of prospects, as is the employment of an intermediary platform to assure mote and remote client satisfaction in property acquisition.

1.4 Aim of the Study

The primary goal is to design software utilising a certain programming language known as Visual Basic 6.0 to address the existing problem in my case study electronically, and one method is to produce this software.

The second goal is to discover, attract, and win new clients, nurture and retain those the agency already has, coax former clients back into the fold, and lower the expenses of controlling the property market and providing client service.

SCOPE OF THE STUDY

We are covering the area of my case study (New Owerri Estate) since I discovered that the case study (New Owerri Estate) has been employing manual methods for housing records.

1.6 Significance of the Study

The study’s significance includes the awareness and importance of the proposed system in the contest of property management, which may be chosen since it is thought to provide the following advantages:

Property allocation

Client’s Time Schedules

Quality and Efficiency

Reduced overall expenses

Limitations of the study include decision support, enterprise agility, and client attention (1.7).

Keep in mind that the project work has not yet been completed, thus I am anticipating potential complications when writing the project.

The primary limiting elements or restrictions encountered during the course of this research were the researcher’s early difficulties in absorbing the knowledge and comprehension of this research field, which was unfamiliar to him.

However, this was overcome in a relatively short amount of time. Obtaining supplies for the research was also one of the most difficult obstacles faced. These sections appear to be barren of investigation. There are no papers, seminars, or books written about this research.
