TEACHING PRACTICE EXPERIENCES OF GEOGRAPHY STUDENT-TEACHERS: CHALLENGES AND POSSIBLE PANACEA (A CASE STUDY OF ENUGU STATE COLLEGE OF EDUCATION (TECHNICAL), ENUGU. FINAL YEAR STUDENTS)

To find a solution to the problems that computer and integrated science students teachers have in their teaching practice exercises, the study’s goal is to analyze both the issues and potential solutions. There were six research questions and two hypotheses utilized to drive the investigation.

Students in the 2007/2008 final year of the School of Science Education, Enugu State Technical College (Technical), Enugu, were studied as a group in a case study. A total of 110 final-year students from the Department of Science Education were selected for the study using relatively basic random selection approaches.

Research specialists, including the researchers’ supervisor, scrutinized questionnaires for face validity before using them to collect data. Students and teachers were given one hundred and ten copies of the questionnaire to fill out, and the same number of copies were returned when they were completed.

In order to examine the obtained data, the likert nominal scale mean value correlation with the computed table mean value was calculated using the algorithm in appendix 3. The study’s findings suggest that student teachers of computer and integrated science encounter a number of personal and institutional organization and staff, supervision, students and classroom/laboratory equipment issues. In the light of the findings of the study, certain cures and recommendations were made.
