ABSTRACT

Every state in Nigeria has its own unique language and dialect. Even in the most mundane aspects of our daily lives, the English language and biology play a large and complex role.

In the realm of the mass media, notably in newspaper and news reporting, there is a great deal of variation and liveliness in the usage of English. In the meanwhile, biology can assist us find solutions to health issues. Politics, education, crime and the law, sports, the arts and leisure, medical, and many more topics are all covered daily in English-language media here.

Daily English-language publications in Nigeria’s newspaper sector are still the most popular. As a result of it, this research investigates the reasons why English and Biology have such a sway in Nigeria.
It is clear that our reporters and sub-editors continue to demonstrate both overt and covert failures in the use of English as a second language (ESL) while seeking to develop an acceptable standard Nigerian English variation, based on a review of the history of English and Biology.

There are three daily newspapers: the daily sun, the punch, and the Saturday tribune, which are used as data. Some Nigerian journalists appear to be improving their writing style, but structural grammatical flaws can still be seen in the writing of many others, according to the research. Human existence has also improved as a result of advances in biology.
