An introductory course in the area ofSephardic Studies needs a textbook. But no book will cover all the material the instructor may want to include, and there will certainly be lacunae in areas for students’ individual research projects. My particular case involved a course which would be especially attractive to history majors, so there was a wide variety of potential topics for student research: linguistics, international commerce, politics, historical and literary studies. Consequently, there were many-and widely varied-areas on which the students needed to have sources. What follows is a bibliography of English-language sources meant to supply some of those lacks. While it is extensive, this bibliography does not pretend to be complete. With the marvels of computers and merge files, however, I would be happy to keep adding entries. I will be most grateful to receive additional titles.
