DEVELOPMENT OF WEB BASED JOB RECRUITMENT PORTAL

CHAPITRE ONE

1.0 INTRODUCTION

The primary goal of this system is to assist HR personnel in the process of recruiting new candidates for the organisation.

This web-based corporate recruitment process system will largely focus on job vacancy posting and administration. When a Job Provider posts a job opportunity in this system,

the WRMS will search the entire system and choose all job seekers’ email addresses, qualifications, and match with the organization’s requirements.

The job seeker must first sign up for the system and upload his resume. He can look for employment and edit his profile. This service will allow potential job applicants to browse for available positions and, if desired, submit an application online.

This approach informs job seekers about the amount of open positions for the position they have applied for. He can also determine whether or not the post for which he is applying is still open.

The administrator can see the jobs, perform inquiries, add or delete job vacancies, and add or delete employees from the system.

The interviewer can log in to the system and view the list of candidates scheduled to appear for the interview on a specific date. The HR Manager can create new jobs, change the requirements for current openings, and eliminate positions that have previously been filled.

The online test questions might be added or removed by the job source. The HR Manager must sign up for the system. He can access the system using his unique id and password. He can change his password after logging in.

HISTORY OF THE STUDY
Almost every type of transaction has been supplanted by online activity in recent years. This is due to the internet’s introduction, which enables a global network connection for all such activities.

Many institutions have tentacles all over the world thanks to this technology. In keeping with this trend, job search activities and job providers must join the global community in disseminating their information via the internet. This is the foundation of the Project’s work.

A web portal, often known as a links page, unifies information from several sources. Aside from the conventional search engine function, web portals also provide e-mail, news, stock prices, information, databases, and entertainment.

Portals enable companies to give a consistent appearance and feel, as well as access control and procedures, for many applications and databases that would otherwise be separate entities.

1.2 STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

The primary goal of this Web-based Recruitment is to collect information that will be needed immediately or in the future in the execution of other tasks.

The establishment of an interactive, well-designed environment for data collecting, save-keeping, and well-structured methods of implementation to provide acceptable output is the goal of designing and implementing a recruitment portal for the organisation.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
This project work aims to reduce the loss of candidate information due to any circumstance such as a fire burning the store where the file of candidates is kept or misplacing the file, and with this process, the recruitment portal, the file or the information of the candidate will be security on saved or kept information and if this task is completed.

The primary goal of this method is to simplify any organization’s recruitment procedure. This system enables organisations to hire applicants who meet the relevant qualifications.

Send emails to all job seekers whose abilities fit the requirements of the job provider as soon as possible. Another goal is to close the communication gap between job seekers and job providers. The major goal of this method is to be trustworthy to all job seekers when they are looking for work.

This project’s practical goal is to create and deploy an online recruitment platform. One of the primary goals of this project is to contribute to academic research, while the secondary goals are as follows:

To assist firms in posting job openings online and searching their database for candidates who best match their open roles.

Allowing job seekers to create their curriculum vitae (CVs) online, search for fresh job opportunities in industries and organisations, receive e-mail notifications of intriguing job openings, and apply immediately through the website.

To assist organisations in attracting, testing, recruiting, employing, and retaining great employees with minimal administration.

To decrease or completely eliminate IM between recruitment agents or personnel managers.

1.3.1 ADVANTAGES

WRMS is a platform that helps job suppliers and job seekers communicate more effectively.

Globally, there are many changes in IT marketplaces; distinct trends are emerging in the market.

As a result, this is the ideal tool for recruiting people.

WRMS can complete the task quickly.

WRMS is the ideal time-saving tool for both Job Providers and Job Seekers.

WRMS is also a cost-effective technology, as it allows for online testing and notification via email.

1.4 SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

If this prototype is fully developed, it will be extremely valuable in many fields, including:

It will make the work of any organization’s personnel department easier.

It will provide additional job chances for our kids.

The government can also examine it and apply it to other industries.

It may also be of interest to private individuals.

PROJECT METHODOLOGY
This project will include the use of web technology in its implementation. PHP’s primary development tool will be Dreamweaver. This work will go over database connections with MySQL in great detail.

1.6 SCOPE OF STUDY

1.6.1 Existing System with Drawbacks:

The current system is entirely manual. In this case, the job provider must place advertisements in newspapers or seek the assistance of consultancies, among other options.

Screening resumes and administering the test will take a significant amount of time. To complete the process, individuals must complete a large amount of paperwork.

There will be a significant time lag between resume screening, test, and interview. This is the main challenge that both the Job Provider and the Job Seeker must overcome.

Work will be delayed on the Job Provider side, and the Job Seeker side will be idle until the final result is published. In comparison to internet recruitment, he must spend more money.

1.6.2 System Features Proposed:

This system was created with three people in mind: the job seeker, the interviewer, and the HR manager.
The system allows job searchers to register their information, such as experience and specific abilities, with the system, and it also allows job providers to submit their criteria with the system.

The WRMS will send emails to all Job Seekers whose technical qualifications satisfy the requirements.

Conducting the online test for qualified candidates Notifying all Job Seekers by email and providing the option to check results.

The interviewer has the option of viewing his mailbox to identify emails containing resumes, screening the resumes, and sending the final list to the HR manager.

The interviewer sends the job seeker an email with details about an upcoming online test, including a date and time.

The job seeker can search and see jobs, view his personal inbox, and if he is a new member, he can publish his resume and alter his data.

The HR manager’s major responsibility is to sift through the queries and provide replies.

The HR manager will review the Job Providers’ details on a regular basis and will also introduce the new Job Provider to the system.

WRMS sends out regular emails to job seekers with information on available positions.

1.7 LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY

Several variables hampered the study’s progress, some of which posed major challenges to the project’s growth. One of the primary disadvantages was financial incapacity. This is in addition to other annoyances such as programme breakdowns throughout the modular construction stages.

The inability to obtain personal internet access for uploading made deployment at testing very problematic. Again, the distance and availability of study materials were factors.

The majority of the crucial information required for this endeavour was extremely difficult to obtain. Another serious challenge was the collecting of information that assisted me in developing the forms and database.
